Prophet Samuel Adebayo Aluko of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Iyanu, Ajanla, Ibadan has called on churches at all levels to partner with NGOs to better the lots of the less privileged.

Prophet Aluko stated this at 6th year anniversary outreached programme organized by one of his member also a minister and Lecturer cum Librarian at Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS) Oniyere Aperin Ibadan, the Coordinator of Anointed Balm of Gilead Foundation, Evangelist (Mrs) Oluwaseyifunmi Yetunde Adesope.

Prophet Aluko said the NGOs knows where the needy are and how to get them, by so doing, poverty would reduced.

For her part, Evangelist(Mrs) Adesope went to memory lane and stated that she is an instrument in God's hand that this is her calling, she further stated thus;"it is incomprehensible how time flies; Six years gone, just like yesterday. It's exactly 6years ago that a mustard seed of love was sowed, named, 'Anointed Balm of Gilead Foundation', Our vision was borne out of the needs of the widows and vulnerable, who through the inevitable event of death of their loved one or bread winner, became less privileged or needed support in order to survive daily life. Thus to achieve our vision, our mission thus included the distribution of raw food items, provision of shelter, health care, clothing, networking and entrepreneurship (empower them by giving out money to start small scale business), retreats and seminars on skill acquisitions; even the ministers wife on what they can do when both of them are alive and even after the demise of any of them, all these are among other projects that the foundation is all about.

"Our vision and mission is premised on one word, which is 'LOVE'.Love is not just a noun, it's a verb, it's not what you think or feel, it's what you do.The Bible says, ' Beloved, let us love one another, for the love is of God, and everyone who loves, is born of God and knows God. He who does not love, does not know God, for God is love', 1 John 4:7-8.

"Like Mother Teresa, whose work became known as "The Missionaries of Charity"in Calcutta, where she worked and focused on taking care of Vulnerable in her society.; The Anointed Balm of Gilead Foundation is poised to replicate this in our society, here in Nigeria, by taking care of the widows, orphans and the poor. And if you ask us, why are we doing this? Our response is simply for love! In this ever busy society of ours, where it's easy to see the vulnerable people as irritants and inconveniences standing in our ways of lives. We need to rise above our self-centered feelings and show them love through our hands of fellowship. Our heartfelt thanks to our father in the lord, Prophet S.A Aluko of C.A.C Oke Iyanu Ajanla for his spiritual guidance and encouragement.

"We wish to thank and appreciate the invaluable contributions of individuals who identified with us and contributed immensely to the remarkable growth, and success recorded by the Foundation in its 6years of existence.people like pastor Dr Ajayi Stephen, the formal coordinator of CAC Theological seminary Ibadan, pastor Tonwoju and professor Ayantayo, Department of Region Study UI and engineer Ajayi.

"As we strive to support and give hope to the vulnerable and less privileged in our society; let's bear in mind the blessings associated with love and kindness to the poor and vulnerable in our society, as encapsulated in Psalms 41: 1-2. Blessed is he that considereth the poor... will not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. We should all embrace love, show love, and sow the seed of love always.Afterall, His banner over us is LOVE," Evangelist (Mrs) Seyifunmi stated.

The beneficiaries at the event received medical care and went home with cash ranging from #5000 to #20000 naira, food items, clothing, among others, moreover, some went home with sewing machine, pepper grounding machine, Chillers, frying pan, Hawking bowls for soft drinks.
