Dr. George-Kelly D. Alabo (FNIQS) has fulfilled the pledge he made to God, to build a church in his personal capacity to support the gospel of Jesus Christ in his hometown, Abalama, Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Rivers State.
The ultra-modern church complex, one-bed-room apartment as pastor's residence, and children's church were fully equipped and furnished, and donated to Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries by the Kalabari born politician-cum-philanthropist who is the current Commissioner of Works, and Supervising Commissioner, Bureau for Special Projects, Rivers State.
While speaking at the handover/dedication service, Dr. George-Kelly expressed deep joy and gratitude to God for making him fulfil the promise he made.
"In 2019, when God asked me what I will do to support the church, I said I will build a church in my community. We started looking for land, God so kind, we got the land in December last year. We put this up in about 6 to 7 months. I am very happy today that Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries has been planted in my hometown. I call on the A.G.O to dedicate this building to the owner, God Almighty," he said.
The Assistant General Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Pst. Dr. Lawrence Olashinde thanked the former governorship aspirant and his wife, Dr. Mrs. Inkoba George-Kelly Alabo, FCA for their kind gesture before dedicating the church to God.
"Let me begin by giving thanks to God Almighty for what He is doing here today. And also, on behalf of our father in the Lord, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya congratulate Hon. Dr. George-Kelly and his amiable wife for what God has used them to establish in this community," the cleric said.
