My destiny would have been dashed if I was depending on my mentor for money- Bishop Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo

The General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide,Bishop David Oyedepo has said his destiny would have been dashed if he was depending on his mentor for money.

According to him, knowing what to do is far more valuable than looking for who will help you to do it.

To know what He says you should do for every area of our lives is far more valuable than looking around in town and on the internet for who will help you do it.

Apart from the fact that we are all limited as humans, they may not be available.

He said that you can make a call to your most trusted friend in your time of great danger and his battery has gone flat. It’s not his fault, and he didn’t know until you have gone through that trouble and perhaps lost in that battle. But knowing what to do inside you, you are attacked in the night it responds, in the day it answers.

He said that knowing what to do in every given issue of our lives is far more honourable, far more noble, far more dignifying than looking out for who will help you do it.

He then revealed that one day, when they wanted to hold a meeting, one of his mentors who has gone to heaven said to him “open that bag and take as much money as you want for the meeting”.

He immediately declined but his mentor said, "you mean I can't give you money? He apologized and said that he declined because he preferred to learn how to get it. He then revealed that he has gone to heaven for about twenty years now and if he was depending on him, then his destiny would have been dashed.

Finally, he advised that we wake up and take responsibility or we end up as liabilities. What you don’t know, you don’t know, and what you don’t know you pay for it. Let’s be knowledge-driven. The knowledge of the truth sets free and sets free indeed. Be willing to take responsibility and then you experience dignity and honour.
