To commemorate the 80th birthday of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enouch Adeboye, His Love Foundation has donated a dialysis centre to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, Bauchi State.

The facility, christened, ‘Enoch and Folu Adeboye dialysis’, was part of the foundation’s medical intervention programme, bringing the number of dialysis machines commissioned so far in Nigeria to 37.

The centre has three dialysis machines, one medical water reverse osmosis purification system and one dedicated 30KVA generator to complement Bauchi State Government’s efforts in the health management system.

Similarly, the Foundation has commissioned the Enoch and Folu Adeboye Dialysis Centre at Wuse District Hospital, Abuja.

The centre is equipped with eight dialysis machines, one medical water reverse osmosis purification system, and one 30 KVA generator.

The foundation said the donation was the 20th in the series of specialised medical interventions Intensive Care Units (ICU)/ Dialysis Centres / Cancer Screening Centre / Primary Healthcare Centres donated by HLF across Nigeria.

Assistant Continental Overseer, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, who spoke at the ceremony at Bauchi, said the church is committed to impacting lives as the burden for kidney disease management is quite heavy.

“With the special grace of God, the Christian Social Responsibility arm of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God will continue to uphold the divine mandate of our Lord and Saviour,” he added.

Iluyomade, who was represented by Pastor Detola Akinremi, said the investment was borne out of the church’s resolve to be of service to humanity in general and their host community in particular.

He said: “The donation is also driven by the mantra at the church to touch people’s lives by providing good education and health through infrastructural development.”

Unveiling the centre, Federal Capital Territory Minister of State, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu commended the leadership of the church for the choice of a lifesaving project at this time of rising cases of kidney disease, stressing that the church was beginning to play one of its crucial roles of caring for the downtrodden in the society.
